TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

ABOUT US.
Openhand Mission Travel is a leading company in responsible
bespoke luxury vacations and travel, devoted to offering
world-class experiences for discerning travelers.
2.
USER AGREEMENT.
The
copyright in all materials (including pictures) and
information contained on this website belongs to Openhand Mission Travel d, or is otherwise reserved, and may be accessed
and downloaded for private and non-commercial use.
Publication or reproduction of any information or
materials contained herein on any other website is
expressly prohibited, unless prior written approval
has been obtained therefore from an authorized representative
of Openhand Mission Travel.
3.
PRIVACY POLICY.
Openhand Mission Travel shall treat all personal information you give
us as strictly confidential and no personal information
will be made available to third parties, unless obliged
to do so by law or legal process.
When
you forward personal information including your name,
e-mail address, mailing address and credit card details
to us, Virgin shall use all means possible to protect
such information from unauthorized access and use.
www.virgincontent.com may use "cookies"
to customize it and make your visit to us more user
friendly. Cookies cannot harm your computer in any
way and are an industry standard. They are small text
files that contain only information provided by you,
the visitor, to the website. Furthermore, our users
may configure their browsers not to accept our cookies.
Openhand Mission Travel may from time to time send e-mail messages
to our customers with news and special offers and
users may, by return mail, indicate whether they would
prefer not to receive any such mail in future.
4.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT.
All
bookings will be preceded by a valid confirmation
of acceptance of this terms and conditions.
For all reservations travelling outside of 120 days,
Openhand Mission Travel will hold the reservation for 30 days.
For all reservations travelling between 91 - 120 days,
Openhand Mission Travel will hold the reservation for 21 days.
For all reservations travelling between 61 - 90 days,
Openhand Mission Travel will hold the reservation for 14 days.
For all reservations travelling within 60 days of
arrival, Openhand Mission Travel will hold the reservation
for 7 days.
Group Rates on all destinations in Kenya.
1. On confirmation: 20% of total reservation value
is due
2. 120 days: 50% of total reservation value is due
3. 90 days: 100% of total reservation value is due
Reservations
held by Openhand Mission Travel with no guarantee as a deposit,
may be cancelled by notice to the guest in order to
accommodate other bookings or in relation to our partner
terms and conditions.
In
the event of Openhand Mission Travel reserving flight tickets
for travel, There is a requirement for full payment
for the cost of the ticket, plus 25% on the balance
of services indicated on the invoice, so that we may
issue air tickets (cost of tickets are not confirmed
until issued).
Payments
can also be paid directly into Openhand Mission Travel bank
account (details can found on invoice).
A service fee has been included into the value of
your reservation.
Openhand Mission Travel reserves the right to cancel all services
booked should full payment not be received 45 days
prior to arrival.
For
last-minute bookings, Openhand Mission Travel allows 6 days
from time of confirmation until payment reaches us
before cancellation of any services booked.
All foreign transactions incur an extra handling fee
over and above the bank's usual exchange rates, which
will be charged to your account by your bank. Kindly
confirm with your bank to determine if this will affect
you or not.
4.1
BOOKING AMENDMENT PROCEDURE IN RESPECT OF Openhand Mission Travel.
An
amendment refers to a change in travel/arrival date
and/or a reduction in number of rooms required, after
a booking has been confirmed
1. All reservations made shall be subject to the cancellation
policy.
2. The following conditions will apply to any bookings
amended from date of confirmation
The
Amendment Policy is as follows:-
If
a booking is cancelled 61 days prior to date of arrival,
an amendment can be made once with no cancellation
fees, thereafter cancellation fees will apply.
Bookings
cancelled or amended 60 days and thereafter may be
subjected to cancellation fees.
Bookings cancelled or amended 45 days and thereafter
shall be subjected to cancellation fees.
Air tickets cancelled or amended after being issued
are subject to a cancellation, amendment or handling
fee. Details shall be made available from carrier.
5.
REFUND POLICY
Deposits
on bookings for travel undertaken before the end of
2010 shall be fully refunded sixty days before date
of travel
Refunds on cancellations that may, shall or are subject
to cancellation, amendment or handling fees shall
be made less these penalties.
6.
PAYMENT OPTIONS AND PRICING
All
Openhand Mission Travel rates are published as per person per
night unless otherwise specified. All pricing is indicative
and subject to exchange rate fluctuations.
All transactions will be processed in USA Dollars
(USD).
All payments shall be made by Electronic Money transfer
to Openhand Mission Travel bank accounts. (Details provided
on invoice).

8. GENERAL INFORMATION
The
rates quoted are subject to change without prior warning
if there are any increases in levies, park fees, fuel,
sales tax or VAT, third-party services or any other
circumstances beyond our control in the countries
featured in this quote/booking.
All guests must take out comprehensive travel insurance
covering them for personal effects, personal accident,
medical and emergency travel expenses, cancellation
and curtailment.
Openhand Mission Travel cannot be held responsible should airlines
discontinue flights on certain routings or change
scheduled timetables resulting in missed connections
etc. Should an amendment in a routing or itinerary
be necessary, we will re-quote you accordingly.
To
comply with international insurance requirements,
all airline tickets must clearly show the passenger's
title, full name and surname (as indicated in your
passport). As this applies to both scheduled and charter
flights, we would be grateful if you could provide
us with this information as soon as possible.
It is of utmost importance that you thoroughly check
your visa requirements before your intended date of
travel, as Openhand Mission Travel cannot be held responsible
should the necessary visa requirements not be fulfilled.
It
is very important that you take precautions against
malaria prior to the commencement of your holiday.
We recommend you contact your pharmacist/travel advisory
clinic for advice regarding the recommended prophylactic.
Please be aware that any scheduled or charter flights
booked may involve multiple stops en route before
reaching your final destination especially within
the parks.
Guests
of Openhand Mission Travel are automatically covered for all
expenses relating to emergency evacuation, when travelling
in Kenya, in the event of an accident or illness at
any location forming part of your itinerary booked
through Openhand Mission Travel. This coverage guarantees
admission to a suitable hospital or clinic as nominated
by International SOS. Our insurer liability ceases
upon admission to hospital or clinic.
Guests
must therefore always take out their own medical insurance
to cover all expenses after admission.
There are certain medical exclusions. Please contact
us for further details.
All dietary requirements can be catered for. When
making your reservation, please advise us of any specific
dietary requirements that you may have and these will
be communicated to the respective lodge/hotel.
Gratuities:
tipping is at the guest's discretion. The lodge manager,
guide or management of the establishment will be able
to assist you with guidelines.
Preferred clothing whilst on safari: we recommend light
cotton tops and trousers/shorts. The best colors to
wear are khaki, beige and white. Light cotton, long
sleeved clothing is recommended for game drives. Please
ensure that you pack warm clothing if you are travelling
in the winter months as temperatures do drop dramatically
at times. A lightweight jacket is recommended for early
morning and evening. |
